A family business with a broad package: on-site and offsite destruction, archive storage, logistics services. DeSnipperaar is a younger, more tightly positioned player: on-site destruction only, only within 20 km of Amsterdam-Noord. In this article we put the two side by side honestly. Spoiler: for some jobs Brantjes is simply the better choice.

For pure on-site destruction within our region we and Brantjes essentially do the same thing: shredder truck on location, P-5 paper, certificate. The difference lies in edge factors. Outside our region we are simply not an option. Brantjes drives across North Holland, we do not. For a client in Alkmaar, Hoorn or Haarlem, Brantjes is the logical choice.

Archive storage: where we do not play

Tax archives must be retained for seven years, medical files for twenty years, personnel administration for five years after departure. Anyone not wanting to store this themselves needs an archive partner that destroys after the retention period. Brantjes offers that complete cycle. We do not. If you need archive management, you are better off at Brantjes.

• You are outside 20 km of Amsterdam-Noord (Alkmaar, Hoorn, Haarlem, Hilversum).
• Alongside destruction you also need archive storage.
• You want the complete cycle (storage through retention period and then destruction) with one supplier.
• You need a very high security level and want offsite P-6 or P-7 destruction.
• You already have a relationship with Brantjes and are satisfied.

When do you pick DeSnipperaar?

• You are within 20 km of Amsterdam-Noord.
• You only want destruction, no storage.
• You want the online price up front without a quote process.
• You are doing a one-off clean-up and want no contract.
• You want to speak to the operator directly and be helped within 24 to 72 hours.
• You want to watch and receive the certificate on the spot.

Honest advice

Brantjes is a solid party with a longer track record than us. For certain jobs Brantjes is simply the better choice, especially when archive storage is in the mix or you are outside our region. We are happy to admit that. Our focus is deliberately narrow: on-site, local, on call. Within that niche that delivers very fast and flexible service, but it is not a complete archive offering.
